This has to do with repeated experiences in being treated for depression, always searching for something that isn't there and holding onto hope.
It's all right, you've been there before
There's just a different name on the door
Everything's the same, don't you see
In your search to be free
Round and round she goes
Don't care where she stops- as anybody knows
For times don't change, they only repeat
Say the lust in your eyesand the itch of your feet
You've gone and come back
Can you find the right road
Can you change your track
Do you feel you're getting old
And where will you go,
You've come this far
Your carousel horse is hitched to a star
Endlessly turning, endlessly yearning,
That's fine for you for that's what you are
You've gone and come back
Can you find the right road
Can you change your track
Do you feel you're getting old
Feel so cold
And where will you go,
You've come this far
Your carousel horse is hitched to a star
Endlessly turning, endlessly yearning,
That's fine for you for that's what you are
Round and round she goes
Don't care where she stops- as anybody knows
For times don't change, they only repeat
Say the lust in your eyesand the itch of your feet
You've gone and come back
Can you find the right road
Can you change your track
Do you feel you're getting old
Feel so cold
Out on your own
Everything's the same, don't you see
In your search to be free
